This is an excellent booki! To read a book from someone who was formally homeless, eating out of trash cans, blaming others for his circumstances, then, ultimately to come to himself and realize that he was eating with the swine, to realize that he didn't have to give into his circumstances, but he saw and created a new future for he and his family!...he also created jobs for others while building a multi-million dollar company! Whew! Eric always says to "Be phenomenal, or be forgotten"! Well, I can't say enough about Mr. Eric Thomas! so, since I haven't forgotten...it is safe to say that he is phenomenal! If he can do it, then so can us all! I highly recommend this book! I listen to ET The Hiphop Preacher most days! He inspires me to challenge myself and make my dream a reality! Kudos to ET!
Of course, it is possible to make some broad generalizations. For starters, successful people tend to be good at what they do – although, even here, exceptions exist since some business people, for example, have been regarded as highly successful individuals while determinedly leading their companies down the road to ruin. Additionally, successful people are generally not lazy since becoming successful does require you to do something (even if turns out that you’re ultimately not that good at what that something is). I also happen to think – and it’s a controversial point – that a good dose of intelligence (even if it’s not traditional academic intelligence) does help quite a bit.

The process of attraction happens at the level of what we feel and believe, and when you don’t set standards and boundaries, this shows you don’t feel very good about yourself, and that you have a lot of crappy beliefs that essentially amount to not feeling good enough, and not being deserving of the best life has to offer. These types of beliefs can mess with various aspects of our life, but can be particularly problematic in the love department. And guess what types of people and situations we attract when we feel this way? Shitty, shitty, shitty ones.

When it was recommended that I read this book, I was skeptical as I've read many other books on the subject and felt I knew pretty much all there was to know on the subject. I visited Amazon and read the reviews and based on the reviews and my brothers insistence, I went ahead and purchased this book. Let me just say that this was the best purchase I've made in quite some time. This book is unlike any other book that I've read on the subject. Secrets of Success is life changing and discusses the law of attraction in a way that is easy to apply from the moment you start reading. I have recommended this book to everyone I love and care about and everyone has had the same kinds of aha moments that I experienced. This title is highly recommended.
And this shows you are on the right path, but all too often we twist it. We lament those people that share the same interests as us, or with whom we had those great conversations, didn’t ask for our number. We feel bummed when that date we thought would be so great, turned out to be not the best match. We think we are still not getting what we want, or there is still something ‘wrong’ with us.
Hi, I have been seeing a guy for 5 years. I am in love with him but we dont talk about feelings. He cheated on me a year 1 of our relationship for 6 months. He has his own place as I have kids from another relatioship. when i found out i was heart broken as I did not expect this but I took him back. I feel anxious when im not with him as I feel he is going to cheat . I am using loa to be positive and have gratitude with the good things we do. He does not want to commit as he is thinking babout his life and moving forward and im not part of his plans. I feel the fear and cant let go as when we r together its great, How else can i make this work
My fiance and I had a very close knit relationship. As a matter of fact, we didn’t like being apart much at all. Unfortunately, life had us spend the last 8 months away from each other, because of work. It took its toll on the relationship which had already started to suffer because of financial reasons. And one day, almost out of the blue (well I could kind of feel it coming) , two days after telling me how he couldn’t wait to see me, and adored me, he sort of picked a fight, and broke up. From one day to the next, he completely closed the door on me. We went from constantly talking and missing each other, to nothing at all. I have been going through a very difficult time especially because I know that he didn’t break up because he didn’t love me, but he simply was not fulfilling his dreams fast enough because of our financial issues and felt that he had sacrified a lot for my ambition and put his on the backburner. We have had to speak a little because 5 years with someone, you can’t just go NC like that. Logistics had to be sorted out etc…. But he has become very cold all of a sudden, and I heard that it was the only way for him to get over it. He’s also moving to French Polynesia for 2 years. He says that moving forward and far away helps him deal with getting over us… In any case, our relationship was beautiful on the whole, but we simply had a break down in communication when it came to dealing with the pain of separation and money issues. I want him back of course and I will apply your advise from “Manifesting Love”. I know he is my soulmate as I am his. That much I know. However, he is moving so far away. I am going to be in the US and him in Tahiti. Do we even stand a chance? He could meet someone else, or just forget about me….I am lost. It’s only been 6 weeks and I am grieving. I don’t want someone better. I want him because we were something awesome. We just allowed fear to rule our lives….Need some TLC and encouragement :(… Thanks
Some people begin to see things happen immediately, while others take a little more time. The key here is patience and persistence. As soon as doubt or fear start to creep back in, return to Step 2 and address it. If you have lost touch with your clear intention, revert to Step 1. If your belief in the Law of Attraction lags, go back to Step 3. If all else fails, repeat Step 4 every day until it becomes a reality!

Consciously shifting your thoughts is definitely the easier path, but when we first start working with LOA, this can be hard to do because our current belief system of having to take action, hustle and MAKE things happen, is still quite strong and we just can’t buy into this fully even if it resonates with us, and we know there is some truth to this method of bringing what we want into our life. Visualizing is a good tool for uncovering resistance, which is essentially all the reasons we tell ourselves we can’t have what we want, and getting into a good feeling space. One of the most important things is not to worry about getting super-specific. Don’t worry about figuring our what this person looks like, exactly what he is like, just try to get into the feelings. Trying to get too specific with the type of person can trigger a lot of resistance, and may even actually clog up the channels of receiving because you may get too attached to this person having to be a very specific way.
This book really resonated with me. My story is much different and as been a lot easier than that of Eric. Even with this being the case I learned so much about myself as I read this and the importance persistance and faith. This book is great for motivation. It is inspirational in many ways and at the same time entertaining. It is a quick read and in my opinion a must read!

I know the LOA says when you want to manifest a specific person you have to be willing to lose them – you have to let go and be ok with not being with them in order to manifest the relationship you want. It also says that you should visualize the relationship you want with this person as if you already have it. How can one do both? How can I imagine being in a relationship with this person but let them go and be ok with not the being with them at the same time?

But the one who really first articulated the Law as general principle was Prentice Mulford. Mulford, a pivotal figure in the development of New Thought thinking, discusses the Law of Attraction at length in, for example, his essay "The Law of Success",[15] published 1886-1887. Your brain is so smart that it has taken the vibrations all around you, and learned how to translate it into your “reality” in a way so that you can’t even recognise its vibration. Think about it... What are the colours that you perceive? If you’ve studied any science then you know that colour is just a vibration at a particular frequency. What are the sounds that you hear? They are nothing more than vibrations that your brain has translated in order to make sense out of it.
Hi again, I just recently posted a question, well I thought of something else that I didn’t mention in my last question. See I am sort of confused a little with Letting Go part/the “being okay without him” part. The LOA states to visualize and feel your desire, like you already have what you want. Basically focusing on you is the major part of attracting a specific person, and of course being okay with not receiving what you want, letting go or detachment. If visualizing myself with my man makes me happy, if thinking about my man & I’s new relationship makes me happy, then that is okay to focus on? I’m confused as to how I’m suppose to do both, visualize and also let go at the same time..
The law of attraction (LOA) is the belief that the universe creates and provides for you that which your thoughts are focused on. It is believed by many to be a universal law by which “Like Always Attracts like.” The results of positive thoughts are always positive consequences. The same holds true for negative thoughts always leading to bad outcomes. But the LOA is much more than generalizations; thinking about red Lamborghinis will bring you red Lamborghinis – always. To the believers, questioning the validity of the LOA is akin to heresy and blasphemy; it creates religious fervor. Look. Yes, you should have a vision of what you want your life to look like. I have a very clear vision. But it’s not hanging over my head. It’s in my pocket. Actually, it’s in my phone. And it changes as I change. They are a list of wants and goals but not needs. They do not define me or my worth. My vision acts as a compass. Do I want these things? Fuck yes I want these things. Will I not allow myself to be happy if I don’t obtain them? Nope. Been there, done that. Never again.

He cites Jesus Christ as being the greatest teacher of metaphysics who ever lived and explains that thoughts are our most important emanation, more important than what we say or what we do. In the books Power Through Constructive Thinking and Find and Use your Inner Power Fox speaks about "building the mental equivalent of what you want and to expunge those that you don't".

When I taught for four years at the University of North Florida, I found that about one-third of the students in my writing classes had no idea what they wanted to do with their Communications degrees. They were in college because it was expected of them, or perhaps because they understood that a degree would mean higher pay, but they had no goals, much less plans that would keep them on course. Even though most were not university athletes, all would have benefited from this book, because "20 Secrets of Success" gives students a step-by-step process to prepare for careers and better human interaction after university life.

I could never have any direct interaction with guys before when I had a lot of resistance about love but after I experienced some contrasts, I could manifest the guy that I could run into yesterday. But it didn’t go exactly as I anticipated. I was so surprised I couldn’t handle it properly I guess. And I kind of beat myself up over it yesterday and then I stumbled upon this posting today.
We can't always control our circumstances, but we can control our responses to them. In this vein, the Law of Attraction can provide the optimism and proactive attitude that's associated with resilience in difficult situations, but must not be used as a tool of self-blame. Our responses to the challenges we face can make us stronger in the end, and the Law of Attraction can be used for that end, but should not be applied negatively, or it can be more destructive than helpful.

The better your relationship with yourself, the better chances you have of finding a great relationship with someone else. Remember, attraction is all about how we feel, and nothing will get you into a better feeling space to let love in, than genuinely loving yourself more. Yeah, yeah, that hippy dippy love yourself stuff. The more you these types of sentiments rub you the wrong way, the more you need to work on it, trust me.
Many people talk about success. They say they want to be successful at something. But, when prodded, they don’t provide specifics because they haven’t really created those specifics in their minds. Sure, they might want to earn more money, drive a nicer car, get a better job, or travel to some far-off destination, but they haven’t set specific and measurable goals that are written down on paper.
