Remember that there is a difference between sending out a hope that something you'd like to happen will happen and putting in the appropriate effort or planning to ensure that something actually will happen. If you don't believe that something will happen, perhaps you're not willing to plan and work for it. You need a balance of both hope (to inspire) and effort (to achieve) for an outcome to be realized.

As a mind-reader, you should try to ATTRACT a different job, since in no way do I have any anger towards anyone with erroneous beliefs. I do feel sorry for you, but this is not anger. This is a free country and free society and you are free to believe anything you desire and free to waste your time as you see fit. You can smoke cigarettes as well. They will harm you and that is your choice. Same as a belief in a LOA.

Michael Losier is the best on the law of attraction issue. He teaches one exactly how to master the art of "believe". It is easy to tell people that the law of attraction works; however, the LOA works if one firmly believes in receiving something specific. Now what if one can not convince oneself to deeply believe? Michael has a whole chapter on how one can realistically think ones desire into reality.

The main reason for the current focus on it is that if you’re aware that you're using the Law of Attraction, you can control what you attract into your life.
Hi Geoff! Thank you for your reply. I do understand the chapter is about getting an ex back. However, what I meant to ask is whether the same rule applies if the person you want to manifest a relationship with is someone you haven’t previously dated. You see I talk to him everyday and he often tends to talk about the girl he is with or unknowingly tells me how I mean a lot to him but only as a friend. And every time that happens I just can’t stop negative thoughts of fear and doubt cropping up in my mind, thus making it difficult for me to let go. So I want to know if I should maintain some distance, perhaps talk less often. The only issue here is that there isn’t really any problem between us. He knows I love him and we kind of sorted it out a couple of months back and have continued to be best friends. I don’t quite have a reason to suddenly cut down on talking to him and I am sure if I do that he would want to know why.

I could feel my vibrations rising and went to sleep with a wonderful open heart feeling. When I woke up the doubts of his intentions started filtering into my brain. I quickly tried to cover them up with ______ and ______ together forever and we are 1 type of mantra. I switch between what will be will be and positive thought. We lived together f or 7 years and he has moved out. I have left his cupboards ready for him to come back but am worried that I am not getting the detachment thing right. Look. Yes, you should have a vision of what you want your life to look like. I have a very clear vision. But it’s not hanging over my head. It’s in my pocket. Actually, it’s in my phone. And it changes as I change. They are a list of wants and goals but not needs. They do not define me or my worth. My vision acts as a compass. Do I want these things? Fuck yes I want these things. Will I not allow myself to be happy if I don’t obtain them? Nope. Been there, done that. Never again.
Michale does an incredible job of explaining LOA and sharing how to use it in your own life without all the mumble-jumble. Straight forward, easy to understand, and apply makes it a great book to read and read and read. I also listen to his podcasts and following him on youtube. He practices what he preaches and encourages everyone to be success in manifesting their dreams.
5) Affirmations (pgs. 241-242) and Focused Intentions (pgs. 244-245): There are fifty powerful and healing affirmations to choose from for incorporating them into all types of lifestyles. My current favorite two affirmations are: 1) I value my life and myself more and more each day. My second favorite affirmation from the listing currently is: I always take responsibility for my own happiness. I find many wonderful things to be happy about each day. The focused intentions (fifteen great ones to choose from) also resonated with me because I agree with the viewpoint of the authors that they are helpful in increasing your personal power. My favorite intention is #1 (on page 244) which is: I am learning to walk the path of peaceful pursuit. I always take joyous action towards my goals, all the while releasing attachment to the outcome. I create a happy life now and draw more and more happiness to me.

You Can Attract Anything You Need: To consciously attract anything you want to experience into your life, you must need it, not simply desire, that which you want. To need something is to have a purpose for it and when something has a big enough purpose, it becomes a necessity rather than a luxury. You are able to attract anything you need to yourself because you are already connected to everything, seen and unseen. Nothing and no one is separate from you. The sense of separation we experience in the physical world is created by the way our five senses interpret this infinite sea of vibrating energy. You are one with the One Universal Mind from which all things become manifest. The creative power of your thoughts is limitless within in the realm of that which is possible.
Revelation (Latin re, back, and velum, veil), literally an unveiling, is the act or process of making known what was before secret or hidden, or what may still be future. Apocalypse (Greek apo, from, and kalypto, cover), literally an uncovering, comes into English as the name of the closing book of the Bible. The Apocalypse unveils the future, as if to the very gaze of the seer; the whole gospel is a disclosure of the mercy of God; the character of Christ is a manifestation of the divine holiness and love; all Scripture is a revelation of the divine will. Or we might say that nature is a manifestation of the divine character and will, of which Scripture is the fuller and more express revelation.
While being battered always hurts, an important survival mechanism I’ve acquired over the years is to both thrive on rejections and hold on to compliments. Rejection enrages me, but that “I’ll show you!” feeling is an extremely powerful motivator. I’m at a point where I’m afraid that if I lose it I’ll stop working. On the flip side, there’s nothing like a meaningful compliment from someone you respect.
I want to say thank you as a new member of the church for all the support, prayers and positive vibe...s given prior to my thyroidectomy surgery yesterday. Recovery is a lil rough this first morning but I feel at peace..that the pain will pass and better days are ahead. God has a plan for me and I am excited to follow this journey with faith. Law of attraction practiced prior to the 1800s. If you are referring to arcane practices in Babylon and Biblical times that we have little knowledge of, I am aware and have looked at these. If there are some specific and relevant references I would be interested in hearing them. As you believe in a LOA, most of what you hear will be filtered through this lens. As I now do not, most of what I hear will be seen through that lens.
2. Focus on the positive. Let go of all your negative thoughts….such as “it's hard to find anyone,” “why don't they see how good I am,” and “no one will ever love me.” You have a lot of great qualities that make you so worthy of anyone's love and attention. Others do notice you and appreciate you. There is love all around you. Let it in. When you let it in and focus on the positive, you change your vibration and open a door for the Law of Attraction for love to bring you your specific person.
And, just as an important side note: Your subconscious is way, way more powerful than you possibly give it credit for. Most people don’t realize this fact. Your subconscious knows exactly what you’re going to do. It’s infinitely more aware of what’s happening in the universe than your conscious mind. It simply won’t be bullied. It’s happy for you to tell it what to do, once you master the process of doing so.

Focus as often as you can on what you do want rather than on what you don't want. For example, if you are angry or upset about a war/conflict that has been going on, do your best to be 'pro-peace' rather than 'anti-war' - focus on the peace, and the kinds of solutions that you would like to see, instead of whatever it is that you do not like about the situation.

But this is the one step that many people get caught up on. They can’t seem to overcome their tendencies to procrastinate and waste time with other pursuits that don’t help to advance their progress towards their goals. For one reason or another, they get distracted, veer off course, and almost entirely lose interest in something they thought they once wanted so badly.
